List of cultural monuments in the Giessen complex II and III
The following list contains the cultural monuments identified in the monument topography in the area of the city of Gießen , district of Gießen , Hesse .
- Note: The order of the monuments in this list is based first on the districts and then on the address, alternatively it can also be sorted according to the name, the number assigned by the State Office for Monument Preservation or the construction time.
The basis is the publication of the Hessian list of monuments, which was created for the first time on the basis of the Monument Protection Act of September 5, 1986 and has been continuously updated since then.
This list contains all cultural monuments of the entire complex II and III Kirchenplatz - Wetzsteinstraße of the city of Gießen.

The former Jewish school and synagogue is a plastered half-timbered building (No. 11) from the end of the 18th century with an attached barn (No. 9). After the construction of the new synagogue on the southern complex in 1867, the building served as a distillery. The paving in the courtyard is the last remnant of the former Zozelsgasse. | Late 18th century |

The half-timbered building on a high base was built in 1349/50 on the tower stump of an old moated castle. After numerous owners, it was owned by the gilder Leib from 1850 onwards. The house was partially destroyed in 1944 and rebuilt or reconstructed in 1976/77. | 1345 to 1355 |

The bell tower, built between 1484 and 1520 over the moat of the former moated castle, is the last remnant of the Gothic town church, which was demolished in 1809 and the successor building was again destroyed in 1944.
