List of cultural monuments in Sommersdorf (Borde district)
The list of cultural monuments in Sommersdorf lists all the cultural monuments of the municipality of Sommersdorf (Börde district) and its districts. The basis is the monument register of the State of Saxony-Anhalt, which was created on the basis of the Monument Protection Act of 21 October 1991 by the State Office for Monument Preservation and Archeology of Saxony-Anhalt and has been continuously updated since then (status: February 24, 2015).

church | The church was built in 1717, parts of the west tower date from the 15th century. It is a hall building with a tower and three-sided east end. Inside there is a pulpit altar from 1718. The windows are glazed in color and depict the apostles Peter and Paul. The windows were created in 1899. In the churchyard there is a mausoleum for the landowner Hosang. (Map) | Sommerschenburg Castle | A castle of the Counts of Summerschenburg has stood here since at least 1088. In 1195 the castle was destroyed and then rebuilt. In 1814 the estate was owned by Friedrich Wilhelm III. given to Field Marshal Gneisenau . Today the castle consists of the castle keep, built at the end of the 12th century and the castle, built in the years 1896/1897. It is a two-storey building in the historicizing style. War memorial | The war memorial was built in the 1920s. The memorial was erected for those who fell in the First World War . It consists of a granite wall with the niches. In the arched niches there are memorial plaques with the headings Duty, Honor and Need, on the plaques there are also the dates of the fallen and missing. On the wall there is a relief with the inscription "If she cannot shake hands, you will stay in eternal life, my good comrade".
