1903 | Commercial building of the textile manufacturer Julius Lange. Red brick building, historically important. During the GDR era, the “Zur Lausche” inn and holiday home for employees of the “ VOB Upward” (= merger of LDPD newspapers such as “ Der Morgen ”, “ Thüringische Landeszeitung ” and “ Sächsisches Tageblatt ”) and their relatives. During the summer holidays, the house was a holiday camp for three times two weeks each for around 50 children of the VOB company employees. Rebuilt in the 1990s and used as a hotel and restaurant. From 2013 conversion to a nursing home, since September 2014 “Julius-Lange-Villa” senior citizens' home (privately owned, since April 2015 set up by LH Betreuungs- und Pflege GmbH) with 6 single and 9 double rooms. |
