Painting Christ falls under the weight of his cross	The painting depicts a scene from Christ's Way of the Cross . It shows nine figures: Christ, kneeling on the floor, occupies the center. On the left are three soldiers in different uniforms; on the right are Mary , Mary Magdalene , Mary Salome , John and Veronica , who is about to wipe Christ's face. Painting Holy Martyr (Saint Joseph of Leonessa?)	The painting probably shows the martyrdom of the Italian monk Giuseppe da Leonessa (1556–1612) in the lower left corner . The monk was sent on a mission to Constantinople and tried to preach the Christian faith to Turks on a galley, for which he was sentenced to torture by the Sultan. The picture shows a monk hanging from a gallows over a fire with hooks, with his left foot and right hand bleeding. He swings a crucifix in the direction of his Moorish executioner, who appears horrified. Another Turk with a turban and beard, who is leaning at the foot of the gallows, seems indifferent to the scene. The oil painting on canvas is from the 17th / 18th centuries.
