List of the boroughs of Ingolstadt

The urban area of Ingolstadt is divided into 12 city ​​districts and 61 sub-districts. Each district has a district committee that has between 13 and 17 members. These committees are redefined by the Ingolstadt city council after each local election. The district committees are to be heard on important matters affecting the municipality. The final decision on a measure then rests with the city council of the city as a whole.
