The district of Ingolstadt Mitte is a district in the center of Ingolstadt . It includes the historic old town and other areas in the west such as the quarry pond . The Ingolstadt fairground and the Ingolstadt outdoor pool are also located here . The old ice rink and the old indoor swimming pool on Jahnstrasse were demolished in 2014 and 2017, respectively, so that the new Ingolstadt sports pool could be built on the area of ​​the ice rink and opened in 2016. The old town is divided into four sub-districts, the Yellow, White, Red and Green Quarter, which has historical reasons. The district has 14,339 residents with main residence (December 31, 2015) on an area of ​​1,142.4 hectares.
