List of student associations in Erfurt

Erfurt is one of the oldest university locations in Germany. Around 6,000 students study at the University of Erfurt , which was re-established in 1994 . There are also two other universities: the Erfurt University of Applied Sciences and the IUBH International University . At the time of the GDR , the Erfurt University of Education and the Erfurt Medical Academy existed . In Erfurt there are two active and two adjourned student associations that belong to different corporate associations. The liaison system was officially forbidden in the GDR, but there were secret corporate associations, including in Erfurt.
