The list of world number one in women's golf includes all the leaders in the Women's World Golf Rankings since its inception on February 21, 2006.

The site first lists all leaders in the ranking in chronological order. In further tables, the world number one at the end of the year and the individual players who occupied the number 1 position are shown, sorted according to their number of weeks at the top of the ranking list.

A total of 13 players have topped the golf world rankings since the rating was introduced. The first world leader was the Swede Annika Sörenstam , the current leader is the South Korean Ko Jin-young . Mexican Lorena Ochoa holds the records for most seasons that ended in number 1 (3) and most weeks at the top of the world rankings, both absolute and consecutive (158 each).
