The list of Albanian ambassadors in the German Democratic Republic contains all the heads of the Albanian diplomatic mission in Berlin since the establishment of diplomatic relations on February 6, 1952 until the end of the German Democratic Republic .

Albania had recognized the GDR under international law on December 2, 1949. In 1952 diplomatic relations were established and ambassadors exchanged.

On 28 November 1956 the Albanian National Day (Dita e Pavarësisë dhe Festa e Flamurit) the essential part of took SED - Politburo part in the reception of the Albanian Embassy. After the Hungarian popular uprising , Walter Ulbricht saw Enver Hoxhas as an ally in Stalinism .

On November 16, 1960, at the 88th World Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties in Moscow , Enver Hoxha criticized the policy of the Soviet Union after the death of Josef Stalin , Nikita Sergejewitsch Khrushchev's trip to Belgrade in 1955 and his criticism of Stalinism on the XX. Congress of the CPSU and advocated the formation of a Yugoslav counter-government. Khrushchev then declared to Enver Hoxha: "Comrade Hodscha, you threw a pile of dung on me and you will have to wash it up." On November 27, 1960, Walter Ulbricht stayed away from a reception by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China on the fifth anniversary of the signing of the friendship treaty. At the reception of the Albanian embassy on November 28, 1960, Willi Stoph warned that the most important prerequisite “for new victories in every socialist country is the unshakable unity of the socialist camp with the Soviet Union at the top”. At the beginning of December 1960, Walter Ulbricht sharply condemned Enver Hoxha's course. He then called Gaqo Paze for consultations in Tirana. Gaqo Paze, the doyen of the diplomatic corps in the GDR, therefore had to be represented at the New Year's reception of the chairman of the State Council . Walter Ulbricht saw this deprivation of prestige of loyalty to Moscow as done enough and apologized to Hoxha for his derailment. In 1961 there was a complete break between Albania and the Soviet Union, whereupon diplomatic relations between Albania and the GDR were frozen for over 20 years.

The diplomatic mission of Albania was located at Godesberger Strasse 1, Berlin-Karlshorst from 1956 to 1967, and from 1988 at Florastrasse 94 in Berlin-Pankow .
