The old parish church was first mentioned in 1148, set on fire by the Turks in 1480 and subsequently restored by master Hans Dietmayr by 1499 . The church has been secretary since 1971.

The three-bay nave has a ribbed vault on strong semicircular services and is separated from the narrower choir by a round-arched, drawn-in front arch , which is one-bay with a 5/8 end and covered by a wide-span ribbed vault that ends without a console in the wall. The sacristy is located south of the nave and has a groin vault and a wrought iron door. The door of the west portal has Gothic fittings. The west tower set into the facade is baroque and has an onion and a lantern .

The high altar in baroque style by sculptor Michael Rosenberger dates from 1852, the neo-Gothic side altars by Josef Veiter from 1878, the baroque pulpit from the first half of the 18th century. Parts of the organ built by Konrad Hopferwieser in 1925 were transferred to the new parish church.
