Remaining buildings and facilities of a limestone quarry with several lime kilns that was built in the 19th century and was closed in the 20th century. The site and buildings are used today for the community's vehicle fleet and for the fire department equipment house.

In 1817 Andreas Töpper and his brother-in-law Mathias Jandl built a sheet metal rolling mill. In 1908 the Carl Cosack factory was converted into a paper and cardboard factory, which was closed in 1927. The factory was largely demolished and partially converted into apartments.

Massive one-story square building with corner towers and a bell tower. Who built the castle and when it was built is unknown. In 1530 it was acquired by Siegmund Freiherr von Herberstein . In 1856 it came to the citizen of Leoben, Anton Krempl, whose descendants (the Aubell family) are still the castle owners today.

In 1635 the former Velnhof is called "Neuschloß Freienstein" in contrast to the dilapidated Freienstein Castle. In 1652 the farm, together with the castle ruins, came to the Leoben Jesuits, who expanded it and managed the Freienstein estate from here. After the abolition of the Jesuit order in 1773, the state took over the property. In the following decades there were a number of mostly aristocratic owners. After 2000 the buildings were converted into apartments that are rented out.

The rectory is part of the Steinhaus building complex. From 1188 to 1848 the district court for the wider area was housed in the stone house, which was responsible for the high level of jurisdiction , including the imposition of the death penalty. The crucifixion group chapel, built in 1672, has a two-winged wooden door and a wrought iron grille. It contains a monumental late Gothic crucifixion group consisting of Christ on the cross and the statues of Mary and John, which is dated around 1515. The figures are made of wood with painting. There is a painting on each side wall.
