The two-aisled, four-bay late Gothic nave, as well as the choir and the old sacristy with ossuary, were built in the second half of the 15th century. The baptistery was added in 1640 and the neo-Gothic west tower with the staircases was built in the 1880s. The interior of the church is characterized by a ribbed vault overlaid with net ribs, the baroque high altar was built in 1731.

The rustikaportal with skylights and coat of arms relief comes from the former rectory. The Renaissance portal is marked with the year 1594 . The portal is now at the Gasthof zum Schneiderwirt .

The figure of St. Johannes Nepomuk from the middle of the 18th century is in a recent wooden chapel at the Hausbergbrücke southwest of the market, on the footpath to the Reichenau castle ruins .
