The T-shaped Gothic building is surrounded by a large commercial complex. It was built around 1303, expanded around 1600 and later redesigned in Baroque style.

Notable elements of the monastery church are a Gothic tabernacle on the left side of the altar as well as the tombstones of the former owners of the Luftenberg lordship on the outer north wall of the church . It was laid out along an old long-distance path from Steyregg to St. Georgen .

The parish church of St. Stephan is slightly elevated west of the medieval core city. The 3-aisled, 4-yoke church has architectural features from several epochs, especially from the Baroque. A slender tower is built to the west.

The castle above Steyregg is the town's landmark. Due to fires and war damage, the castle was reduced to its present size. The current four-storey building is the former east wing and only a third of the former castle. The castle is surrounded by a park from the 19th century. Two fountains in the park bear the dates 1670 and 1727 and the coats of arms of the Weißenwolff and Jörger .

The octagonal basin on the eastern town square is marked with the year 1600. The well was deposited from 1965 to 1980.

Mighty two-storey tower with a square floor plan and a pyramid roof. The transit hall has a groined vault. The gate was the only one of the three city gates that remained. It was named Seilertor by the ropemakers who made and repaired fishermen's nets in front of the city wall in the Middle Ages.
