The castle is east of the village. It was mentioned in a document in 1343 as Haus Fevstritz and is a late medieval defense structure that was expanded into a castle in the 16th century. The four-wing building has two round towers on the north-west and south-east corners, the central wing in the west with a crooked roof. The window and portal frames on the north-west tower have remained visible as late baroque components. The knight's hall in the south wing has a wooden beam ceiling and dates from the late 16th century. The altar in the chapel was made by Balthasar Prandtstätter in the 2nd quarter of the 18th century.
The castle has served as a school since 1950 and is currently called the Technical School for Agriculture and Food Industry Schloss Feistritz-St. Martin . The general renovation took place in 2010–2012. |

Schalensteine Object ID: 123290 |
Location KG: Pöllau |
The bowl stone , discovered by Erich Hable in 1984 , has seven recognizable round bowls with a depth of 4 to 11 centimeters. In addition, two clearly recognizable "footsteps" are carved. Although the stone was archaeologically examined for the first time in 1985, its original uses (as with many other bowl stones) and its dating are unclear. It is also not clear whether the shells were created at the same time as the “footsteps”. A speculative interpretation is based on a late medieval , Christian motivated cult act. |
