Late Gothic staggered church from the 2nd half of the 15th century with an older Gothic choir around 1400 and a massive north-west tower, former fortified church, founded by the Styrian margraves at the beginning of the 12th century, documented chapel dedicated to St. Veit, 1161 to the Göttweig monastery and elevation to the parish, 1330 foundation of a parsonage by the Hohenberger Vogtei owner, 1473 master builder Hans Kschässper (nave?), 1685–1687 expansion of the Gothic tower, 1763–1771 renovation, 1830 cemetery abandoned, 1891 regotation inside, 1968–1970 restoration and mostly removal of the neo-Gothic furnishings, 1970 demolition of the rectory and new building. |
