The Maria Tax pilgrimage chapel was built in 1667. It is associated with a hermitage. The chapel is an architecturally simple building on a long rectangular floor plan, with a simple facade design, a roof turret and a straight end of the choir. The scenic representations on the stab cap barrel are by Christoph Anton Mayr . In 2007 the altar from the time around 1760 by the Alpbach altar builder Bartlmä Bletzacher was restored and put up again. In 2010, the roof structure was renewed using traditional carpentry technology and covered with pegged larch shingles.
