The residence is an originally late Romanesque tower, which with its two storeys can be dated to the first half of the 14th century. The unplastered building has about 1 m thick walls made of layered field stones with a network of joints and hewn cuboids at the corners of the house. Originally, access was through a round arched door with heavy wall stones as a high entry on the east side, the door is now walled up. With a slit of light on the east side and a vestment fragment on the north side, there are still remains of two other original wall openings. The complete redesign into a modest peasant house probably took place in the first half of the 19th century, possibly earlier the floor heights were changed inside and the medieval beam ceilings were removed.
