Health notice This article is about suicide. For those at risk, there is a wide network of offers of help in which ways out are shown. In acute emergencies, the telephone counseling and the European emergency number 112 can be reached continuously and free of charge. After an initial crisis intervention , qualified referrals can be made to suitable counseling centers on request.

The following lists provide an overview of the number of completed suicides in the federal states of Germany. A second statistic gives an overview of the development of the number of suicides in the federal states and the entire state.

Federal states by suicide rate (2018)

Countries are ranked according to the rate of suicide among the total population. The rates of women and men and the total number of suicides are also given.
