The ambassador of the guardian of the two holy mosques in France resides at 5 avenue Hoche, Paris .

On September 5, 1973, a group known as the Palestinian Punishment Squad occupied the building on Rue Andre Pascal and threw the Egyptian-born chief of protocol from a window on the second floor.
