Ministry of Communications and Informatics of the Republic of Lithuania
The communication and computer science Ministry of the Republic of Lithuania (lit. Lietuvos Respublikos ir ryšių informatikos ministerija ) was an information ministry in Lithuania . It specifically took care of information , IT and communication concerns . The most important tasks of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology were the development and implementation of a common Lithuanian state communication and information policy. It organized the public mail , telegraphy and telephony , data and information transfer, the activities of the network. Now there are Informatikos ir ryšių departamentas at the Ministry of Interior of Lithuania .

It emerged from the Ministry of Communications of the Lithuanian SSR . In 1990 it became the Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Lithuania (lit. Dėl Lietuvos Respublikos Ryšių ministerija ).
