The Little Black River is a river in the Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area in the US state of Alaska .

The Little Black River rises about 30 km southeast of Circle about one kilometer north of the Yukon River in the extreme northwest of the Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve . It flows for the first 78 km in a north-northeast direction. It then turns to the northwest and flows a further 53 km through the Yukon Flats until it splits - 25 km south of Chalkyitsik - into the northern Grass River and the southern Sucker River . The two rivers continue their course to the west and flow into the lower reaches of the Porcupine River . The Little Black River has a strongly meandering river course. It has a length of about 130 km.
