The Little Mitchell River is a river in the northeast of the Australian state of Queensland . It is located in the Far North Queensland region .
geography
River course
The river rises approximately 175 km northwest of Cairns in the Atherton Tablelands , part of the Great Dividing Range . It flows to the west and from the confluence of Mountain Creek to the southwest. Approx. 3 km northwest of Mount Mulgrave it flows into the Mitchell River .
