Livia Cotta

Livia Cotta (born November 1, 1970 in Berlin ) was the managing director of the party-affiliated Heinrich Böll Foundation from 2013 to November 2018 . V.

Life and accomplishments

Cotta studied human medicine at the Free University of Berlin from 1989 to 1996 , did her doctorate at the Humboldt University in Berlin and is a licensed doctor . In 2008 she acquired a Master of Business Administration at the Technical University of Munich while working .

Until her license to practice medicine in 1998, she worked as a doctor in the Charité Medical Clinic . Livia Cotta then worked in the editorial department and in event management at Thieme Verlag until 2007 . In the following two years she worked as the head of marketing and communication at Hocoma AG, a Swiss medical technology company. As Medical Director at the German Bone Marrow Donor File gGmbH , she was able to gain experience in the management of an international non-profit organization from 2009 to 2013 . The independent Cotta replaced Birgit Laubach on April 1, 2013 in her function as managing director of the Heinrich Böll Foundation.
