Lyuben Iliev

Lyuben Iliew Borissow (born July 24, 1989 ) is a Bulgarian wrestler . He won a bronze medal in free style light heavyweight at the 2013 European Championships .

Career

Lyuben Iliev started wrestling at the age of ten in 2000, focusing on free style. His hometown club is Levski Sofia . He was and is trained by Valentin Raitschew and Rachmat Sofiadi. Wrestling is z. Currently also his job. In the German Bundesliga he competed for SV 04 Germania Weingarten and KSV Köllerbach so far .

In 2008 and 2009 he participated in three international junior championships. He won a bronze medal at the 2009 European Junior Championships in Tbilisi in the middleweight division behind Koloi Kortoyev, Russia and Dato Marsagishvili , Georgia.

With the seniors he came in the years 2010 to 2012 because of the strong competition in his own country, especially he could not get past Mikhail Ganew , not yet to appear at international championships. But he was in the years 2010 and 2011 in middleweight and 2012 in light heavyweight each Bulgarian champion. In 2013 he finished 3rd in the light heavyweight championship behind Georgi Sredkow and Atanas Gazepow.

In 2013 it was used for the first time in Tbilisi at an international senior championship. He fought his way there in the light heavyweight division, after a defeat against Pawlo Oleinik , Ukraine, with victories in the consolation round against Jozef Jaloviar , Slovakia and Egson Schalwa, Albania, a bronze medal.
