Ljudevit Selo is a suburb two kilometers west of the Slavonian town of Daruvar in Croatia .

Ljudevit Selo is noted for the first time in a lease agreement that the administrator of Count Janković, Karl Ditz, concluded with Venzl Vavrinec from Bohemia on September 28, 1863. In this lease it is also noted that in "Field Lipovac", belonging to the Lower Daruvar, the Count would like to found a colony with 25-30 families, which will clear the nearby linden forest and supply the glassworks in Upper Daruvar with charcoal. This place should be called "Luisendorf" because the count wanted to give it to his wife Luise. The Bohemian immigrants did not like this name, so they called the village "Lipovec". In 1881 a Croat entered the land registry and translated the "Luisendorf" to "Ljudevitino Selo". Today's residents also call their village "Lipovec".
