Lluís Maria de Puig
Lluís Maria de Puig i Olivé (born July 29, 1945 in Bàscara , Girona province , † December 12, 2012 in Girona ) was a Spanish politician of the Partido Socialista Obrero Español (PSOE) and President of the European Movement Catalonia.
Life
Puig studied history in Barcelona and at the Sorbonne in Paris . He was a professor of history at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the University of Girona . From 2008 to 2010, Puig was the successor to René van der Linden President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe .
