Lo Lieh

Lo Lieh (real. Wang Lap Tat ; born June 29, 1939 in Pematang Siantar , Indonesia ; † November 2, 2002 in Shenzhen ) was a Chinese actor .

Lo Lieh was born in Indonesia, went to school in China and, after graduating, trained as an actor in Hong Kong . In 1964 he was given a permanent contract with the Shaw Brothers production company and began a long career in action films, spanning over 200 films. Later, in addition to his acting activities, he also worked as a writer, director and producer. In the mid-1970s he also appeared in several European co-productions.

In 1973 he founded his own production company, Lo Films . Lo Lieh was married to colleague Tong Ka-Lai , among others .
