Sophie Barazetti

Sophie Barazetti , born von Le Monnier , (born July 1, 1858 in Morzg near Salzburg , † May 6, 1929 in Aarau ) was an Austrian writer.

Life

Sophie Barazetti was born in Salzburg as the daughter of Anton Ritter von Le Monnier and his wife Franziska. Due to her father's job-related transfer, she lived in Brno between 1860 and 1869 and in Vienna from 1869 .

On September 18, 1880, she married the lawyer Caesar Barazetti . In 1884 he moved to Heidelberg and later another to Freiburg, Switzerland . From 1897 she lived in Geneva , moved to Vienna in 1908 and died in Aarau.

Barazetti began to write late. Her debut novel Im Banne des Unterberg was published in 1887 and was translated into Danish, among other things. She also published novels in magazines, such as The Wedding of Becourt , The Elixir of Youth and New Year's Eve .
