Sadu (outdated Sad ; German Zoodt , Zood or Sodenbach , Hungarian Cód ) is a municipality in the district of Sibiu , Transylvania , Romania . The population was 2143 and 2492 in 1910 and 2002, respectively.

It is located about 27 km south of Sibiu , in the Mărginimea Sibiului area at the foot of the Zibins Mountains .
Worth seeing
In 1925 a memorial cross was erected in honor of those who died in the First World War . This stone cross is fenced in and contains an inscription that refers to the dead sons of the community.
