Lobo (* 2. June 1955 in Amsterdam as Imrich Laurence Lobo ) is a Dutch singer .

Career

He became known in 1981 for the song Carribbean Disco Show , which was a number 1 hit in the Netherlands and Belgium . The piece is essentially a medley of well-known songs by singer Harry Belafonte . He released this and other songs under the name Lobo & The Pearls .

He could not record any further successes and is therefore a typical one hit wonder . In 2006 he released a Christmas version of his hit titled Loboʼs Caribbean Disco Show , which was unsuccessful.
