The French public limited company Logic Instrument SA is a computer manufacturer based in Domont , Val-d'Oise , 20 km north of Paris . The company develops, produces and sells notebooks and tablet PCs for industrial and military use. The products are sold under the brands Fieldbook, TETRA Computer and OptiVue.

history

The company was founded in 1987 by Jacques Gebran and Michel Bailly. Initially, computer-based measurement technology was sold in the telecommunications sector, later, in 1988, the first portable industrial PC , the “Logi 286”, was presented. From 1992 these were then manufactured industrially.

The German branch was founded in 1999, followed by the subsidiary in the USA one year later. In 2001 it went public on the Paris Stock Exchange; In 2007 the company joined the stock exchange segment Alternext . Today the company is a subsidiary of the consumer electronics manufacturer Archos .
