length 900 m

The Lohbach (also Lohbächle) is a 900 meter long connecting river between the Waldbach Lindersbach and the Dorfbach in Oberschopfheim , a district of the municipality of Friesenheim in the Ortenaukreis in Baden-Württemberg .

geography

The beginning of the Lohbach marks a junction of the Lindersbach , which seeps away after about 350 meters. It is fed by the Aubach under the Dreiangel in Oberschopfheim and flows into the Dorfbach when it exits the surface , and this over the Schutter into the Kinzig .

Lindersbach

The Lindersbach is the right source brook of the Lohbach . It unites with a ditch to the Lohbach .

course

Large parts of the Lohbach are channeled underground and run below the residential areas in Oberschopfheim . After the connection between the Lindersbach and a ditch, the Lohbach flows in a slight right-hand bend in a north-westerly direction towards Oberschopfheim, whose residential area it reaches after approx. 150 meters. From now on it marks the border between residential area and farmland until it finally flows under a house in Raiffeisenstraße into the inhabited part of Oberschopfheim. After crossing under the street, the Lohbach continues canalised on the surface before it flows into an underground canal . This flows under the Oberdorfstraße to the Dreiangel , where it forms the Dorfbach with the Aubach , which flows on to the Leutkirche .
