Lok Sabha constituency of Chikmagalur
The Lok Sabha constituency of Chikmagalur (also Chickmagalur ) was a constituency in the elections for Lok Sabha , the lower house of the Indian parliament , from 1967 to 2004 . It belonged to the state of Mysore or, after its renaming in 1973, to the state of Karnataka . The Chikmagalur constituency comprised the Chikmagalur district . In the course of the reorganization of the constituencies before the Lok Sabha election in 2009 , the constituency of Chikmagalur was dissolved. He gave part of his area to the constituencies of Hassan and Dakshina Kannada , the remaining area was merged with part of the also dissolved constituency Udupi to form the new constituency Udupi-Chikmagalur .
