The local line Enzersdorf bei Staatz – Poysdorf is a discontinued branch line in the Weinviertel . It ran from Enzersdorf near Staatz to Poysdorf .

history

On September 6, 1888, the 9.1 kilometer long Enzersdorf – Poysdorf local railway was opened by the Austro-Hungarian State Railway Company (StEG). There, in 1907, the Dobermannsdorf – Poysdorf line of the Lower Austrian State Railways was connected. All private railways were nationalized on January 1, 1908. In 1927 the superstructure of the line was renewed and the line's top speed could be increased from 30 to 50 km / h.

Passenger traffic between Enzersdorf and Poysdorf was stopped on August 8, 1977. Shortly afterwards, rails and sleepers were dismantled and bridges demolished. Brittle sleepers between Ameis and Poysdorf were given as the reason for the closure.
