history

The Dobermannsdorf – Poysdorf line was opened on May 8, 1907 by the Lower Austrian State Railways . There was a connection to the local railway Enzersdorf bei Staatz – Poysdorf of the Austro-Hungarian State Railway Company, which was opened in 1888 .

In 1927 the superstructure of the line was renewed and the line's top speed could be increased from 30 to 50 km / h. Due to fragile thresholds between Ameis and Poysdorf, passenger traffic on this section was stopped on August 8, 1977.

The last freight train with passenger transport ran in 1987 and had the train number 71256 and became the 7470 passenger train.

The tracks between Dobermannsdorf and Poysdorf were dismantled in November and December 2012, respectively.
