Parish church of Kleinhadersdorf

Kleinhadersdorf is about 500  inhabitants scoring village and cadastral the community Poysdorf in Lower Austria .

location

Kleinhadersdorf is located three kilometers west of Poysdorf, the main town of the municipality. The original Angerdorf, whose newer parts have developed as a typical street village, is located on the Poybach, which rises in the neighboring village of Föllim and flows into the Zaya .

history

In the last days of the Second World War , between April 19 and 20, 1945, Kleinhadersdorf became the scene of fierce and varied battles between troops of the Waffen SS and the Red Army , with the German troops briefly repelling the Soviets in the direction of Mistelbach. In the course of the fighting, 60 buildings were destroyed and all major bridges were blown up. Civilians were also killed.

Buildings and sights

The parish church of Kleinhadersdorf , like the rectory , is a listed building. In front of the house on Landstrasse 1 there is a wayside shrine of St. John Nepomuk marked 1854 . A niche shrine in the south of the village dates from the 18th and 19th centuries. Century. The Floriani Chapel, a simple, straight closed building with triangular gable, was built in the 19th century and houses a figure of Saint Florian . The Marienkapelle stands at Bundesstrasse 123, with pilaster strips and triangular gable and marked 1856.

The grave field of Kleinhadersdorf , a grave site of the Linienbandkeramischen culture, was excavated in 1931 in the Marchleiten corridor south of Kleinhadersdorf and excavated in the 1980s / 1990s.

Infrastructure

The village is relatively well developed on Poysdorfer Straße B 219, which connects Poysdorf with Staatz , and is about ten kilometers from the district capital Mistelbach. Despite its favorable location, the village is only moderately connected to the public transport network - several bus routes run between Poysdorf and Laa an der Thaya , but the district capital Mistelbach is not connected. The local railway Enzersdorf bei Staatz – Poysdorf , which also had a station in Kleinhadersdorf-Maria Bründl, was shut down in the 1980s and later dismantled. Within the local area there is a water protection area that supplies drinking water for Poysdorf.

economy

Typically for a Weinviertel village of this size, Kleinhadersdorf does not really have significant economic employers. It is perhaps worth mentioning that one of the most important employers in the region, the Gebauer & Griller cable works, is only one kilometer from the village. There is also an inn, a bakery, several wine taverns, a carpentry shop and a technical office for the environment, water and wastewater technology in Kleinhadersdorf - as well as numerous farmers and winegrowers, such as the Weinrieder and Amon wineries, which are well known far beyond Austria's borders. Kleinhadersdorf has two cellar lanes: the Grundern and the Schnellern, in which most of Kleinhadersdorf's winegrowers have wine cellars. The total vineyard area is 170.58 ha (as of 2011).

societies

There are many traditional clubs in Kleinhadersdorf, such as the Union-Sportverein Kleinhadersdorf, which is active in the second class in Weinviertel Nord, and the youth group Kleinhadersdorf, which organizes one of the largest summer open-air events in Lower Austria with great success with Sandstorm.
