Poysbrunn is a place in the northern Weinviertel and one of 10 cadastral communities in the city of Poysdorf .
General
A total of 350 people live in the main residence in Poysbrunn . Another 116 people have established their second residence here. Overall, this results in a population of 466 people, of which 216 are male and 250 are female.
location
The Poysdorf district is located in a narrow valley of the Falkensteiner Mountains. In the south of the village, the Kirchberg reaches 293 m, the hills in the north rise up to 248 m. By the location of flows from Falkenstein coming Mühlbach . Poysbrunn has a total area of 15.27 km²; and is thus one of the largest cadastral communities in the municipality of Poysdorf.
history
The place has a very eventful history. This was also described in a work of more than 1000 pages by Prelate Franz Stubenvoll, in which he scientifically documented the "history of the village, its rule and its parish".
For a long time, Poysbrunn Palace and the Falkenstein family belonged to the family of the Counts and Princes of Trautson .

The infrastructural facilities in the village include a department store, an inn, a kindergarten, two wine taverns, a multi-purpose sports hall with a canteen and, as one of the few cadastral communities, also its own post office and several commercial and wine-growing businesses.
