It runs from Kácow via Zruč nad Sázavou to Světlá nad Sázavou .

history

Hvězdonice railway station (2008)

On April 19, 1902, the " Joseph Klöckner, goods inspector of the kk Theresian aristocratic women's foundation at the Prague Castle in association with Robert Hruš, domain director in Ledeč, Josef Kolař, district chairman in Radostowitz and Johann Hereš, mayor in Ledeč - received the concession to build and operate a locomotive train from the Swětla station of the Imperial and Royal Austrian Northwest Railway via Ledeč to Kácov ” . Part of the concession was the obligation to start construction of the line immediately and to finish it within two years. The company's share capital totaled 1,584,000 crowns. The joint stock company was based in Prague . The line was opened on September 24, 1903.

The operation was carried out by the kk State Railways (kkStB) for the account of the Swětla – Ledeč – Kácow local railway. After the First World War, the newly founded Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD) took over the management of the kkStB. On January 1, 1925, the local railway Swětla – Ledeč – Kácow was nationalized by law and the line was integrated into the ČSD network.

Today the route has the timetable number 212, with the timetable now starting in Čerčany . Railcars are used in passenger transport.

Vehicle use

Railcar of the ČD class 810 in Zruč nad Sázavou (2008)

The operational kkStB procured the locomotive 97.228 and the four-axle steam railcar 1.401 on behalf of the local railway Swětla – Ledeč – Kácow .

The ČSD designated the locomotive from 1924 as 310.0119, in 1931 it was retired. The railcar was classified as M 223.001. It remained in operation at ČSD until after the Second World War. It was not taken out of service and scrapped until 1948.
