Lola Landau
Lola Landau (born December 3, 1892 in Berlin ; died February 3, 1990 in Jerusalem ), actually Leonore Landau , was a German-Israeli writer .
Life
As the daughter of the doctor Dr. Theodor Landau grew up in Berlin , and between 1910 and 1912 she published her first poems in the Berliner Tageblatt . Her first marriage was with the Breslau philosopher and social democrat Siegfried Marck . In 1920 she was married to the writer Armin T. Wegner for the second time and lived with him in Neuglobsow on the Stechlinsee . After the Nazis passed power to the Nazis, Lola Landau managed to get her children to safety abroad. She herself fled to Palestine , where she worked as an English teacher and writer.
Only since the 1970s have her works been published again in Germany, such as her autobiography Before Forgetting - My Three Lives in 1987 .
