The London School of Theology (LST) is a nationally accredited university in London , United Kingdom . The campus of the interdenominational college is located in Northwood ( London Borough of Hillingdon ) in West London . The LST has a Protestant , reform-driven evangelical tradition, with a special reputation in the field of biblical theology as well as interdisciplinary research and teaching. In terms of evangelical theology, the LST is one of the world's most influential faculties and the largest such college in Europe. The library is considered one of the best specialized theological libraries in Great Britain.

history

The London School of Theology was founded in central London in the 1940s under the name London Bible College (LBC). In 1970 the college moved to Northwood and took over the campus there of the Anglican London College of Divinity . In the 1990s, a new postgraduate study center ( Guthrie Center ) was built, which also houses the university's center for Islamic studies . In 2004 the college was renamed the London School of Theology .

Education

There are programs from the Basal studies up to (Undergraduate Studies) Master - and Doktoralprogrammen offered. Among other things, Bachelor of Arts Honors -Studiengänge in theology , theology and pastoral care and theology and music offered. In postgraduate studies there are a number of Master’s programs (MA in Transformation, MA in Biblical Interpretation, MA in Christian-Muslim Relations, MA in Integrative Psychotherapy) as well as the research degrees Master of Theology and Master of Philosophy and the Ph.D. In addition, the LST offers a range of distance learning courses up to MA level.
