The Londorfer Chapel in the district of Vollmaringen (today the city of Nagold ) in the district of Calw , Baden-Württemberg , is a core Romanesque chapel . It lies almost exactly in the geographical center between the communities of Iselshausen , Mötzingen and Vollmaringen in the open countryside and is surrounded by a cemetery that is used by the Vollmaringen parish .

history

The chapel used to be the church of the village of Londorf, which no longer exists today. In the western part of the church building remains of the Romanesque masonry have been preserved. In the 15th century the chapel was extended to the east and provided with a polygonal east end. In the chapel there is a late Gothic wood carving and a replica of the Trinity picture by Albrecht Dürer . In addition, a grave slab from 1424 has been preserved, which was created for the Menloch von Dettlingen, called the Flähinger. The knights v. Dettlingen were the local owners of the nearby municipality of Vollmaringen.
