Longroiva is a municipality in the Mêda district in Portugal .
The municipality, which can look back on a long history and is one of the oldest settlements in Portugal, has 286 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
The area of the municipality is 41.3 km². The population density is 6.9 inhabitants per km². Longroiva is mainly known for the thermal springs and thermal baths that are available there .
Longroiva was a district between 1120 and November 6, 1836, in whose administrative area the municipalities of Chãs de Longroiva , Santa Comba , Fonte Longa and Longroiva were located. In 1801 Longroiva still had 1,583 inhabitants. Due to the decline in the number of inhabitants, the municipalities of Longroiva County were ceded to Marialva and Meda.
