The district of Longting ( Chinese 龙亭 区 , Pinyin Lóngtíng Qū ) belongs to the administrative area of the district-free city of Kaifeng in the Chinese province of Henan . It has an area of 343.89 km² and about 298,000 inhabitants.
The 2000 population census showed a total population of 87,411 people in 22,569 households, of which 44,023 men and 43,388 women. This number refers to the size of Longting before it was merged with Jinming , when Longting's territory was 91.51 square kilometers.
Administrative structure
At the community level, the city district was made up of eight street districts , one large community , four communities and a state farm at the end of 2018 . These are:
- Street district Beishudian (北 书店 街道), Wuchaomen (午 朝 门 街道), Daxing (大兴 街道), Beidaomen (北 道门 街道), Longting (城西 街道), Liangyuan (梁 苑 街道), Songcheng (宋城), Xincheng (新城 街道)
- Greater community Xinghuaying (杏花营镇)
- Communities Beijiao (北郊乡) Liuyuankou (柳园口乡), Xijiao (西郊乡) Shuidao (水稻乡)
- state farm Xinghuaying (杏花 营 农场)
The two street districts of Chengxi, Liangyuan, the large community of Xinghuaying, the two communities of Xijiao and Shuidao as well as the state farm belonged to the district of Jinming until 2016 , which was dissolved and merged with Longting.
