Loraine Henkel (born February 12, 1988 in Alzenau , today Loraine Neumann ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

2011 in Nancy

In her youth, Henkel played volleyball in her homeland in Lower Franconia at TV Großwelzheim and TV Mömlingen . In 2005 she moved to the regional division ASV Dachau and a year later to the second division Allgäu Team Sonthofen . From 2008 to 2011 Henkel played for the Bundesliga club Rote Raben Vilsbiburg , with whom she won the DVV Cup in 2009 and the German championship in 2010. During this time she was also part of the German national team . In 2011, the middle blocker went to France, where she played one season each with Vandœuvre Nancy VB and SES Calais . After a two-year break from playing, she returned to Germany in 2015 and worked for the second division club DJK Sportbund München-Ost and Allgäu Team Sonthofen . In her last season at Sonthofen, Henkel was champion of the 2nd Bundesliga South and was the league's “most valuable player”.
