Loren Nowland (born December 2, 1977 ) is a former New Zealand ice hockey player who spent his career with the Southern Stampede and the Canterbury Red Devils in the New Zealand Ice Hockey League and was New Zealand champion with both clubs.

Career

Loren Nowland began his entire career as a hockey player with the Southern Stampede , for which he made his debut in 2005 in the then newly founded New Zealand Ice Hockey League . In the first two years he was able to win the New Zealand championship title with his team, and in 2005 he was also the top scorer of the league together with Simon Glass . In the following year he was named the most valuable player in the final. After the second title, he left the team from Queenstown and moved to the Canterbury Red Devils in Christchurch , with whom he was again champions in 2009. After he played the 2010 season again for the Southern Stampede, he ended his career.

International

With the New Zealand national team Nowland only took part in the 2008 World Cup in Division II, but had to accept relegation to Division III without points.
