Lorenzo Sommariva (born August 5, 1993 in Genoa ) is an Italian snowboarder . He starts in snowboard cross.

Career

Sommariva, who competes for the CS Esercito , won 25th place at the Junior World Championships 2013 in Erzurum . In December 2003 she took part in the Snowboard World Cup in Montafon for the first time and finished 52nd. In December 2016 in Montafon he achieved his first top ten placement in the World Cup with sixth place. He came in 38th place at the 2017 Snowboard World Championships in Sierra Nevada and 26th place at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang . In March 2018 he took his first victories in the European Cup in Veysonnaz with two first places. In the 2018/19 season he achieved three fourth and one third and first place each, ninth place in the snowboard cross ranking of the European Cup. The following season he came in the top ten five times in the World Cup. He won his first World Cup victories in Cervinia and Big White and thus took second place in the Snowboard Cross World Cup.

Sommariva has taken part in 43 World Cups so far and finished in the top ten 11 times. (Status: end of season 2019/20)
