History and reception

Producers who had already worked with idols of the band, such as Tom Dokoupil ( Edwyn Collins ) and Mayo Thompson ( Felt , Primal Scream ), could be won for the first albums . Singer / songwriters Dave Kusworth (Jacobites) and Barbara Manning participated in the recording of Goodbye . The Rolling Stone said that the best of rock, pop, folk, country and rock will be "merged into a stringent album without sounding effort" here. Michael Sailer wrote about The Swimming Pool in the Musikexpress that there was no dropout among the “pearl-glittering, transparent-shimmering songs”. On science fiction , the same music critic said that with the tenth album, Sauer set off "to the great, gorgeous, and yet infinitely light ballads and dream songs". About the latest album The Stars My Destination , a close cooperation with the Cologne independent band Locas In Love (as musician and producer), Rolling Stone writes: "... at the same time demanding and easy-going guitar pop that has fallen from many times."

As a support act, Loretta u. a. for Continental Drifters, The Go-Betweens , Epic Soundtracks and Nikki Sudden .
