Lori Nelson Spielman (born April 30, 1961 ) is an American writer .

Life

Lori Nelson Spielman is the daughter of Frank and Joan Nelson. She has at Central Michigan University , a bachelor completed and then at the Michigan State University the master's degree achieved. At first she was a speech therapist and guidance counselor (guidance counselor). She now works as a tutor and writer and lives with her husband in East Lansing , Michigan .

Her first novel The Life List , published in 2013, was an immediate success and has so far (as of 2014) been translated into 16 languages. The German edition under the title Tomorrow comes a new sky was the best-selling book in the fiction category in Germany in 2014 with almost 600,000 printed copies and 100,000 e-books ; in Israel it also reached the top ten. Fox 2000 Pictures has acquired the rights to film. In 2014 Tomorrow Comes a New Heaven won the LovelyBooks Readers Award in the romance category .

In 2015, her second novel, Just one horizon away , was published, which was first published in Germany in May 2015, ahead of the United States , and entered the top position on the Spiegel bestseller list.
