Los Banos ( Spanish : Los Baños ) is an American city in Merced County in the state of California . It has about 31,300 inhabitants (status: 2004), the urban area has a size of 21.1 km². Los Banos Reservoir is located southwest of the city . In honor of Henry Miller , a statue of him was erected in town.
