The Lost Lake is a lake on the Kenai Peninsula in the Chugach Mountains in southern Alaska .
It is located 18 km north of Seward in the Chugach National Forest . The lake is drained by Lost Creek . Its water flows over Salmon Creek and the Resurrection River into Resurrection Bay , a bay in the Gulf of Alaska .
The name of the lake used regionally was documented in 1909 by Grant and Higgins of the United States Geological Survey .
